A little clarity about cookies.

Google Analytics is optional and stays off until you choose “Allow analytics”. We store your choice in this browser under lyrabyte-analytics-choice-v1 for six months. This preference storage is used to remember your choice; it is not an advertising identifier. The learning examples, photo gallery and contact form work whether you accept or decline.

After you opt in, Google Analytics can set first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_NXL7MGWHJR to distinguish browsers and understand visits. Our cookie lifetime is six months. Reports cover page activity, device/browser information, referral sources and approximate city or region. Our tag does not enable advertising storage or send the contents of your enquiry form.

Enquiry details are sent to our server only when you submit the contact form. The private team inbox keeps its access key in the current page session’s memory; it is not saved to cookies or local storage by this application.

When you follow a link to another website, that service’s own cookie and privacy policies apply. Hosting infrastructure may also process technical information needed to deliver and protect the website.

Use “Analytics choices” in the footer to change your preference. Choosing “No thanks” stops our analytics collection and removes the Google Analytics cookies this website can access. It does not delete data already collected by Google. You can also remove site data through your browser settings. Supported Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals keep our analytics off.
